The At-Risk Afterschool Meals component of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) offers Federal funding to afterschool programs that serve a meal or snack and provide educational or enrichment activities to children in low-income areas. Program guidelines are specific regarding who may participate in this program.

Training

School Districts and Community Organizations may sponsor the At-Risk Afterschool Meals Program.

School District sponsors must participate in NSLP Annual Training to continue operating the program. One of the sessions offered during NSLP Annual Training is focused on this program.

Community Organization sponsors must participate in CACFP Annual Training to continue offering the program. To complete required training, please visit the CACFP Training webpage.
