B021-15 05/13/2015 Unexcused Absences and Truancy Data Report for the 2014-15 School Year As part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is required to report information on unexcused absences from all schools serving Grades 1-8 and grades 9-12. In addition OSPI is required to collect information on truancy and special programs or schools to reduce truancy for grades 1-12.

School districts are to use these forms to file preliminary and final claims for funding to help offset costs incurred for petitions filed with juvenile court(s) because of student truancy. Final claims must be received no later than Monday, June 15, 2015. Claims submitted after that date will not be funded.
