TitleIIPartA

The purpose of Title II, Part A is to increase the academic achievement of all students by helping schools and districts improve teacher and principal quality and ensure that all teachers are highly qualified. School districts have the flexibility to use Title IIA funds creatively to address the challenges of teacher and principal quality. This includes teacher preparation and qualifications of new teachers, recruitment and hiring, induction, professional development, and retention. In addition, Title IIA funds may be used to improve the skills and knowledge of principals for effective school leadership.

Paraeducators

Private Schools and Title II, Part A
OSPI provides a Summer Conference for private school teachers, principals and other educational personnel who are eligible to participate in the Title II, Part A program.
