Principal Letter Templates

Below are letter templates for the Smarter Balanced Field Test, Measurements of Student Progress (MSP), High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE), End-of-Course (EOC) exams, Washington Alternate Assessment System (WAAS) and Washington English Language Proficiency Assessment (WELPA) sent to families about spring 2014 testing.

Class of 2019 and Beyond Math EOC Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 7 or younger whose children are enrolled in algebra I/integrated math I or geometry/integrated math II.
Chinese | Khmer | Korean | Punjabi | Russian | Somali | Spanish | Tagalog | Vietnamese

Grades 3-8 Smarter Balanced Intro Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 3-8 whose children will take the Smarter Balanced test in the spring of 2015. (Translations coming by the end of August)

High School Smarter Balanced Intro Letter (Word)
For families of students in 11th grade whose children will take the Smarter Balanced test in the spring of 2015. (Translations coming by the end of August)

Grades 3-8 MSP Intro Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 3-8 who will take the Measurements of Student Progress.

Grades 3-8 MSP Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 3-8 who took the Measurements of Student Progress (and an EOC exam, if appropriate).
Spanish

Grades 3-8 WAAS Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 3-8 who are receiving special education services and participated in WAAS-Portfolio.

For families of students who took the High School Proficiency Exam.

Washington English Language Proficiency Assessment
For families of students whose first language is not English. After an initial placement test is given, it is followed by an annual test to measure students’ growth in English language knowledge and skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking until additional help to learn English is no longer required.
