Grade Level Standards & Resources
This Web site provides user-friendly access to the learning standards along with aligned resources. These standards describe in detail what students are expected to know and be able to do in each grade.

Common Core Standards
Learn about Washington’s role in the nationwide Common Core Standards initiative.

Instructional Materials
OSPI periodically conducts reviews to examine the degree to which instructional materials available to the state’s educators are aligned with Washington’s K-12 Learning Standards.

Response to Intervention (RTI)
RTI is a research-based intervention process that assists and supports struggling students as soon as a need for help is identified.

Special Education Learning
OSPI Special Education and related services are provided annually to about 124,000 eligible students in the state across 295 school districts. Special education represents about 11.6 percent of the state's total K-12 population.

This document is a companion to the Washington State Diagnostic Assessment Guide.
