Thrive by Five Washington and BELO Seattle launched Learning for Life. This week-long series of news features will air the third week of every month and tackle a variety of early learning topics for parents, grandparents, those who work with young children and the general public. Last month's series:

Let's Get Physical! Skills such as taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and waving "bye bye" are called developmental milestones. Children reach milestones in how they play, learn, speak, behave and move (crawling, walking, etc.). This segment will look at key developmental milestones, how to support a child's healthy physical development and why early intervention is important when delays in development are detected. Watch the videos online.
