week-long series of news features
will air the third week of every month and tackle a variety of early
learning topics for parents, grandparents, those who work with young
children and the general public. Last month's series:
Let's Get Physical!
Skills such as taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and
waving "bye bye" are called developmental milestones. Children reach
milestones in how they play, learn, speak, behave and move (crawling,
walking, etc.). This segment will look at key developmental milestones,
how to support a child's healthy physical development and why early
intervention is important when delays in development are detected.
