Education That’s Up to Date: The Approval Process

Course approval requests for new courses for the first semester are due no later than April 15 of each year. Course approval requests for new courses for the second semester are due no later than October 15 of each year. Please see below for more information on the course approval and re-approval process.

The review of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses is ongoing for the re-approval process. The purpose of this process is to make certain that all CTE courses:

Re-approval of specific program areas will be completed based on the schedule below. The deadline for submitting re-approval information is January 31st for each school year. All CTE courses from districts with CTE programs must be re-approved.

Please see the CTE Course Approval/Re-Approval Process and Schedule 2013-2017 (PDF) for more information. Please see the Skills Center Course Re-Approval Process and Schedule 2013-2017 (PDF) for more information on skills centers.
