The WAAS-Portfolio Access Guide is an abbreviated version of the Teachers' Guide to assist the teacher with assessment decision making and WAAS-Portfolio administration.
Extensions
Select grade level content standards (GLEs or PEs) have been “extended” for use in the WAAS-Portfolio assessment for students with significant cognitive challenges.
Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs)
PLDs represent the entire range of
performance and define the scores received on the WAAS-Portfolio. The PLDs
describe the characteristics of each level, from L1 (below standard) to L4
(exceeds standard). The PLDs have been developed for each content area and grade
band that is assessed by the WAAS-Portfolio.
