Locally Determined Assessments (LDA)
The Locally Determined Assessment (LDA) is an assessment system for students with disabilities who have been unable to meet standard through any of the state approved alternative assessments. Students have the opportunity to assess via one of the three most commonly used achievement tests: Woodcock-Johnson-III, WIAT-II or KTEA-II to demonstrate they can meet the same level of rigor as the WAAS-DAPE through an alternate method. The LDA is only available for students in 12th grade in the content area(s) they are qualified and receiving services in.
