Traffic Safety

Chapter 392-153 WAC Revision Effective September 1, 2007 (pdf)
Bulletin 029-07 Revision to Chapter 392-153 WAC (Word)

Overview

The goal of the Traffic Safety Education office is to ensure public school Traffic Safety Education programs provide students with the skills and instruction necessary to build a lifetime of good driving habits. To accomplish this, the office provides an approval process to verify that the Traffic Safety Education program for each participating school district is in compliance with standards.

All Public School Districts that offer Traffic Safety Education (TSE) are approved by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Check with your local school district for program availability. For further information you may contact Dan Payne, Program Supervisor, at (360) 725-6120.
