Title I, Part A

LEA role in Parent and Family Engagement

LEAs have a responsibility to promote and strengthen parent and family engagement within their Title I, Part A programs. There are clear requirements that require LEAs to plan and implement PFE activities with the ongoing and meaningful consultation of the families whose children benefit from Title I, Part A services.

PFE Resources
We offer publications and links for LEAs & schools to use to facilitate the family connection to K–12 education. PFE helps parents and LEA and school staff collaborate to strengthen the school improvement process, and make the most of the academic support and services that Title I, Part A programs can provide.
