The Teacher/Principal Evaluation Program

School Administration

Instructional and Leadership Frameworks
A framework is a common language and vision of what quality teaching and leading looks like. All districts are required to select both an instructional and a leadership framework to use when evaluating their teachers and principals. The frameworks have common themes tying the criteria for teachers and principals together.

Student Growth
Student growth is an important part of the teacher evaluation process. OSPI provides a rubric for student growth as well as some samples, from teachers across that state, of what student growth might look like.

Training Modules
The training modules focus on professional learning for TPEP and the state eight criteria.

Training Calendar
Any administrator that evaluates an educator is required to complete training on the framework before they can evaluate someone. A list of the required training and training dates are listed here.
