Center for Educational Effectiveness
The Center collects and analyzes needs assessment achievement and perception data which can be used in developing, implementing, and monitoring goals and action plans.
Center on Instruction: Identifying Professional Needs in Mathematics
This Needs Assessment Tool for Mathematics Professional Development (grades 3–7) was created for Regional Comprehensive Centers and other technical assistance agencies, as well as state departments of education, as they help others make decisions about the allocation of professional development resources and identify the mathematics content areas and skills that need substantial professional support.
District Self-Assessment Handbook: Characteristics of Improved Districts – Performance Rubric Review
This tool can be used by district stakeholder teams to measure current effectiveness. The Handbook is designed to provide an intensive examination of a district's practices compared to thirteen research-based themes of improved districts, in order to identify key district-wide strategies that will have a substantial impact on creating the conditions for student success. School Systems Improvement Resource Guide (SSIRG)
OSPI and the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA), working with a team of superintendents and central office administrators, have developed this publication to support districts in student achievement analysis, provide a model planning process defined by parameters set by the federal government, and highlight best practices of state and national experiences on student learning.
