System and School Improvement Action Planning Handbooks
Under Revision

The Office of System and School Improvement is revising the school- and district-level handbooks to reflect new requirements for schools and districts identified for services under the Every Student Succeeds Act.

We anticipate notifying schools and their districts about their designation for 2018–19 by February 2018. Once schools and districts are identified, we will upload revised versions of our school- and district-level handbooks to this website. Revised handbooks will support local leaders to (a) understand requirements for identified schools and their districts; (b) examine ways they can most effectively increase educator/system capacity and improve student achievement; and (c) use a web-based action-planning tool to create, implement, monitor, and revise Action Plans.

If you would like a copy of last year's System and School Improvement Action-Planning Handbook: A Guide for School Teams or Central Office Action Planning: Guidance for Districts with Priority and Focus Schools, please email ossi@k12.wa.us.
