Social Studies Teachers (SST) Connect
SST Connect provides teachers an opportunity for connection and collaboration with colleagues across Washington State.
What is it?
SST Connect is an online Professional Learning Community for sharing and examining social studies curriculum and instruction. It is supported by a GIS web-mapping system that allows asynchronous (any time day or night) opportunities to collaborate with colleagues near and far.
How can I connect with other teachers?
Explore the curriculum and instruction maps to find the contact information of teachers who are invested in topics that are of interest to you.
For curriculum, your choices are Civics, Economics, Geography, History (Washington State, U.S., and World), Contemporary World Issues/Problems, Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology, and Law-Related Courses.

How can I share my own work with others?
Join SST Connect by completing the online survey. Then submit your best lessons and units of study to the curriculum and instruction pages of the Washington State Council for the Social Studies (WSCSS) website. This will allow your colleagues to learn with and from you.
