Science Learning Standards

The 2009 version of the Washington State K-12 Science Standards strengthens the foundations of the previous document and incorporates the latest findings of educational research. Version 1.2 June 2010, includes minor revisions to increase the clarity of the science standards document. The errata sheet indicates the clarifications.

PDF The Science K-10 Grade Level Expectations (2005) will continue to be tested until the transition to the new standards is complete. The 2009 Science Standards will first be assessed in grades 3-8 in 2011 and in high school in 2012.

OSPI’s Assessment Division and Teaching and Learning Division invite you to attend a focused webinar on the Biology End of Course Assessment Supports.
