Science K–12 Learning Standards

The Washington State 2009 K-12 Science Learning Standards are being phased out as the State transitions to the newly adopted Washington State 2013 K-12 Science Learning Standards (Next Generation Science Standards). The new standards describe what students should know and be able to do at each grade level.

Washington State 2013 K-12 Science Learning Standards

The 2009 K-12 Science Content Learning Standards are being phased out. They can be found on our Resources web page. The last assessment on these standards will be in spring 2017. The NGSS are WA 2013 State Science Learning Standards. New assessments are being developed based on these standards and will be administered in spring 2018.
