Information Regarding the Asset Preservation Program
Download a list of approved School District Buildings that have been determined to meet the requirements of the Asset Preservation Program (APP). Ultimately, it is the responsibility of each school district to identify and implement the APP for each required building. Please contact
School Facilities if you believe you have additional buildings in your district that need to be added to the program.
Note: Failure to enter required buildings into the APP may jeopardize eligibility for future state funding construction assistance.
The Asset Preservation System (APS) is a school building maintenance plan model for state assisted facilities. It is intended to facilitate the development of a district plan, according to its unique needs, or supplement an already existing maintenance plan. The APS can benefit all districts regardless of their size and amount of state funding assistance.
The APS was originally developed in cooperation with the Kent School District, and we appreciate their dedication and assistance in that process. A second generation of the APS was structured according to Uniformat for a seamless fit with the Inventory and Condition of Schools system (ICOS) currently under development.
This APS has 57 major systems divided into approximately 165 components. Each component has one, or more, possible condition inspections. Additionally, there are three recommended inspection levels and space for four recommendations of inspection frequency.

This program is currently being developed. For assistance, please contact School Facilities.
