Principal Letter Templates

Below are state testing letter templates for the Measurements of Student Progress (MSP), High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE), End-of-Course (EOC) exams, Washington Alternate Assessment System (WAAS) and Washington English Language Proficiency Assessment (WELPA) sent to families about spring 2013 testing. Spanish translations are available for some letters, thanks to the Granger School District.

Grades 3-8 MSP Intro Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 3-8 who will take the Measurements of Student Progress.

Grades 3-8 MSP Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 3-8 who took the Measurements of Student Progress (and an EOC exam, if appropriate).

Grades 3-8 WAAS Letter (Word)
For families of students in grades 3-8 who are receiving special education services and participated in WAAS-Portfolio.

HSPE Letter (Word)
For families of students who took the High School Proficiency Exam.

High School WAAS Letter (Word)
For families of high school students who are receiving special education services and participated in WAAS-Portfolio, HSPE- and EOC-Basic, and/or the Developmentally Appropriate Proficiency Exam (DAPE).

For families of students who took a math and/or biology EOC exam.

Washington English Language Proficiency Assessment (Word)
For families of students whose first language is not English. After an initial placement test is given, it is followed by an annual test to measure students’ growth in English language knowledge and skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking until additional help to learn English is no longer required.
