State Assessment
Reading Assessment involves two tests: the Measurements of Student Progress for grades 3-8, and the High School Proficiency Exam. These tests replace the WASL, which was the state's assessment until 2009,
and are given every spring. The state assessment is designed to help schools and districts determine whether students have met the K-10 Reading Learning Standards.
