  System and School Improvement

What is School Improvement?

School Improvement is a part of System and School Improvement and supports districts and schools that have been identified for improvement (e.g. Comprehensive, Targeted, RAD, etc.) by state and federal accountability processes. We provide technical assistance, resources, and support in collaboration with internal and external partners to these identified schools.

How can School Improvement help you?

OSPI believes that school improvement is best served through a whole-agency, tiered approach. The Office of System and School Improvement (OSSI) is one key hub for this support.

Tier III: Comprehensive Supports
For schools identified for Comprehensive or RAD support.

Tier II: Targeted Supports
For schools identified for Targeted Supports with 3 or more student groups and schools Identified for English Learner progress.

Tier I: Self Directed and Foundational Supports
For schools identified for Targeted Support for 1 or 2 student groups

School Improvement is committed to closing the opportunity gap and creating equity in our educational system through strengthening the working relationships with local education agencies and buildings, as well as with communities.
