Parent Notification: Placed in English Language Development Program Based on ELPA21 Screener or Annual Assessment results
This letter has been updated to reflect the ELPA21 proficiency profile determinations. Use this letter to notify parents that students
- continue to be eligible for English language development services for students who received a proficiency profile determination of "Progressing" or "Emerging" based on 2017 ELPA21 results, or
- are initially placed in program based on ELPA21 Screener results
Graduation Rate for English Learners
Districts are required to include the graduation rate for English learners in the parent letters of initial and continued eligibility: "In INSERT SCHOOL YEAR, INSERT ADJUSTED 5-YEAR GRADUATION RATE% of high school students who were still eligible for the English language development program graduated either on-time or within one additional year." Time in Program
Districts are required to include the expected time in program in the parent
letters of initial and continued eligibility: "Most students successfully exit
the program within INSERT NUMBER years." This information is posted in
