  Mental Health and Schools

Mental Health and Schools at OSPI oversees the statewide efforts to improve and enhance school and mental health treatment coordination.

OSPI's report, Publicly Funded Mental Health and School Coordination Resource Manual For Washington State (PDF), is a resource for paraeducators, counselors, mental health agency staff, school administrators and healthcare providers. Its goal is to help schools and mental health agencies better understand their respective roles. The genesis of this work was begun with House Bill 1784 (2003 legislative session).
