Clover Park High School’s mission is to graduate every student ready for college, career, and citizenship. The school is ethnically diverse and has a significant percentage of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. Clover Park was part of the small schools movement, and the school retains its smaller learning community structure. In 2010, Clover Park created CP STEM, a school-wide program emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). STEM is an organizing principle for curriculum across disciplines, including the humanities. It is also a way of looking at the world and making sense of the changes in modern society. STEM promotes numeracy, scientific understanding, and heightened literacy, but it is also way for CPHS students to think about ideas, explore the roots of innovation, and seek the keys to prosperity and lifelong fulfillment.
