  School Improvement (SI)

School Improvement (SI)—formerly known as District and School Improvement and Accountability (DSIA)— provides a range of research-based services and supports to:

Services are offered under SI's Washington Performance Management Framework (WPMF). Each year, SI uses a variety of data to place districts and schools into support clusters on the WPMF; this placement is based on greatest need and strongest commitment. Specific services are then aligned and matched to district and school needs.

Districts and schools identified for services through the WPMF are invited to apply to participate in the Washington Improvement and Implementation Network (WIIN). Through the WIIN Center, which is located in Tacoma, district/school teams can engage in effective professional development emphasizing evidence-based practices and other innovations which are designed to:

In partnership with WIIN and Educational Service Districts (ESDs), evidence-based improvement tools, processes, and strategies can be taken to scale and conditions built to sustain improvements over time.
