Center for the Improvement of Student Learning
The Center for the Improvement of Student Learning (CISL) provides information to educators, parents and community leaders in order to improve schools and increase student learning.

School Safety Center
The School Safety Center provides resources to schools and parents on a broad spectrum of safety related topics such as bullying, internet safety, substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, discipline and truancy.

Special Education, Guidance for Families
To support family involvement in special education, OSPI provides web visitors with user-friendly information and resources on various special education topics.

Athletics

Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete
This annual publication (PDF, 24 pages) from the NCAA is a helpful resource for high school students who hope to participate in college athletics at an NCAA college or univeristy, parents and legal guardians, and high school counselors and administrators.

Legal Voice
Legal Voice is a nonprofit organization working to advance legal rights (Title IX and other laws) for women in the Northwest.

Washington State Interscholastic Athletic Association
WIAA is a private, not-for-profit organization that works with school districts in the planning, supervising and administering of the interscholastic activities approved and delegated by the school districts’ boards of directors.

Women’s Sports Foundation
The Women’s Sports Foundation advocates for equality, educates the public, conducts research and offers grants to promote sports and physical activity for girls and women.

Civil Rights

American Civil Liberties Union of Washington
ACLU is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization devoted to protecting basic civil liberties.

Advocates for youth in issues related to education, health and housing.

Anti-Defamation League, Washington
The ADL promotes diversity and respect in area schools by providing programs and resources to help students, teachers, and administrators create positive learning environments where all students feel valued and appreciated.

NAACP | National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a civil rights organization for ethnic minorities in the United States.
