Assessment

Because Environmental and Sustainability Education is required in Washington state to be taught across all grade levels in an interdisciplinary manner, the assessment of how well students meet these standards is intended to be integrated into core content assessments, where appropriate. For example, Environmental and Sustainability Education offers excellent content and context for Classroom-Based Assessments in social studies and the arts. It can also be included in formative assessments in science as well as other content areas.
