Title I Schools Achieve! Home

Whitman Elementary, Spokane, Kindergarten to Grade 6
Moving forward to close the achievement gap requires teamwork, collaboration and dedication to individual student success. This is social justice and anything less is not acceptable...Principal Beverly Lund

Achieve!

Whitman teachers and support staff are committed to team work as one part of a multi-layered solution to close the achievement gap. They set aside regular, consistent time every week to collaborate on instruction and assessment. Teaching and support staff are open to new ideas and will often modify workshop strategies to improve teaching and learning. They hold the belief that all students should receive instruction centered on core curriculum as a way to meet state standards.

All students include:

  • English language learners
  • All special education students
  • Students who receive behavioral interventions
