Professional Development
In-service trainings are central to professional development at Gildo Rey Elementary. Each teacher is a specialist in his or her area of instruction, and gets frequent opportunities to share deep knowledge, and coach peers as they learn and apply new teaching strategies.
These high-quality PD sessions are scheduled formally and informally as teachers identify new and effective practices, find ways to reach struggling students and challenge those kids who are performing above grade level.
