Blue Ribbon Schools Program
The Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private schools performing at very high levels or making significant improvements in achievement.
Washington nominates up to seven schools for the Blue Ribbon Schools Program annually. Nominations are based on statewide assessment data.
Nominees apply to the U.S. Department of Education (US-ED). US-ED selects Blue Ribbon Schools in the fall.
Blue Ribbon Schools receive a banner and custom award to display in their buildings. US-ED honors award winners at a ceremony in Washington D.C. each fall.
Visit the US-ED Web site or contact Title 1/LAP and Consolidated Program Review Director
Gayle Pauley for more information.
