K-20, E-rate & Technology

K-20 Network
The K-20 Educational Network is a high-speed, high-capacity network that connects colleges, universities, K-12 school districts and libraries across Washington state. Schedule a video conference | Contact K-20 network tech support | Understand co-pays and ISP costs

E-rate
E-rate is a tiered system of reimbursement, for which OSPI applies on behalf of all K-12 schools connected to the K-20 network. Districts and libraries use the E-rate discount to lower the cost of Internet access, and telecom and network data services.

District Technology Plans
A state-approved district technology plan makes it possible to meet an important compliance obligation for Priority 2 E-rate requirements.

Computers 4 Kids
Computers that have completed their state service are available to needy public schools across Washington. Which waiting list your district lands on depends on what percentage of your students are eligible for the federal Free and Reduced Meals Program — C4K eligibility.

State Technology Survey
We conduct this survey every year to get current data on the state of tech integration across Washington’s public schools. Available through the state’s longitudinal data system, this important dataset supports edtech programming at the school, district and state level.

State EdTech Plan
Read this comprehensive account of the current state of technology integration across Washington’s K-12 public schools. Four strategies outline a forward direction for educators and lawmakers dedicated to the development of a highly effective teaching force and a technology-enriched learning environment for all K-12 students.

Best Tech Practices for Districts
Technology has a unique role to play as innovation and economic hardship transform teaching, learning and education management. With its limitless versatility, educational reach and proven ability to boost productivity, technology has become necessary infrastructure in every district office and classroom.
