    Skype to make free calls — video, too — to anyone with a Skype account.
    Google Chat (plugin) for video and voice to talk with other Google users. Make sure you have a Gmail account.

    Media Converter or You Convert It to convert video to audio or into other digital file formats. The converters are free but impose daily limits on the number of conversions.
    IrfanView is freeware for non-commercial use that works as a graphic view and media converter. Supports most computer platforms.
