SketchUp Pro

Take advantage of free K-12 licenses for SketchUp Pro, the popular 3D modeling software. Our state-level agreement provides lab and educator licensing through the end of July, 2016.

  • Contact Dennis Small, (360) 725-6435, for licensing information.

Free to K-12 Public & Private Schools
Networked lab seats and single-user educator licenses for K-12 schools and teachers are available at no cost. The offer is open to all Washington state schools and districts that make use of the licensing program administered through OSPI.

  • SketchUp Pro licenses are good for three years, at which point you can reapply.
  • Version upgrades are free as long as your license code is current.

3D Visualization for Learning
Teachers take advantage of this versatile tool to visualize ideas and data, places and objects — any learning activity that can use the power of 3D graphics to strengthen core curricula with realistic visualizations. We also encourage another free download — Google Earth — which makes it possible to model real-world buildings and sites and locate them geographically.

SketchUp Pro License for School Computer Labs

  • Up to 300 simultaneous users — Mac or Windows platform
  • Install the software on as many computers as you need.

Windows-based Network
One computer must act as a license server
Windows XP or Vista or 7

Mac Network
No license-holding server necessary
OS X 10.4 or later running an Intel processor

SketchUp Pro License for Educators

  • Set of single-user licenses for up to 30 educators in the same building.

Home Use for Students
SketchUp Pro is not free for students who want to use the 3D software modeling tool at home. We recommend SketchUp Make, which is free and designed for home use.
