Early Learning Leadership Grants
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is funding leadership grants to eight districts that are developing collaborative networks and aligned services for early learning in their communities. Each district project is focused on meeting the needs of their community. These districts are developing early learning partnerships and coalitions with a focus on developing birth through 3rd grade aligned and effective instruction, family engagement, and P-3 leadership.
Goals include: working with birth through 3rd grade providers and teachers to
better support the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of
children; aligning curriculum from preschool through grade three; increasing
kindergarten readiness; and supporting seamless transitions for children and
families.
