Communities, school districts, and educational service districts across the state are investing in full-day kindergarten and early learning programs for preschool-age children as key strategies for helping children succeed in school. (For survey of school district kindergarten and pre-kindergarten programs in Washington State, click here) In response to this growing interest, OSPI has developed the Early Learning Tool Kit. The tool kit is designed to assist communities considering new or additional investments in early learning by offering both policy guidance and practical tips for developing effective programs for children birth through kindergarten.
