State Early Learning Partnership

An exciting new public/private partnership between OSPI, Washington State Department of Early Learning, and Thrive By Five Washington is improving early care and education for all children birth through 3rd grade in Washington. OSPI, DEL and Thrive By Five have launched the Washington State Early Learning Plan (ELP). View the Executive summary of the Washington State Early Learning Plan and the partners’ priorities Early Learning Joint Resolution Partnership 2011 Priority Strategies.

Early Learning Partnership Joint Resolution Framework (PDF) has been developed as a companion document to the Partnership Resolution to outline Priorities/Goals and Key Actions defined by the Early Learning Partners.

• Washington State Dept of Early Learning houses state-supported programs focused on children including Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), funded child care for low income families, child care licensing, Early Support Program and quality rating and improvement system.
• Thrive by Five Washington is a public/private partnership working to help ensure that all Washington children succeed in school and life.
