A publication by the Center for the Improvement of Student Learning in partnership with the Office of the Education Ombudsman, the Commission on Hispanic Affairs and Bilingual Education, OSPI

Let's Talk About It provides a basic overview of the public school system in Washington and helps families initiate important conversations with teachers and other school staff.

Let's Talk About It - In Print

Distribution of this publication is scheduled for August 2009. Schools and community organizations can order up to 100 copies in English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and/or Vietnamese to distribute to parents. The booklet should be used as part of a training and not simply handed out without conversation.

Let's Talk About It - Post Cards

Post cards are now available for teachers to send to parents, with messages and illustrations from the Let's Talk About It. This is a great way to introduce yourself and welcome parents in the new school year.

Teachers and other school staff who work with parents can order up to a total of 31 post cards. To order your post cards, please complete the order form and return it to the Center for the Improvement of Student Learning.
