In the spring of 2013, OSPI introduced a new metric for measuring student growth called Student Growth Percentiles (SGP). Student growth percentiles demonstrate the amount of growth a student has made over the course of a year in comparison to their academic peers across the state, based on their performance on state assessments in math and reading.
