March 13-14, 2019: Mentor-Coach Conference

This conference is for mentors, coaches, other teacher leaders, and administrators who support classroom teachers. It's an opportunity to explore strategies that help shift the narrative around race, opportunity, and achievement in classrooms, schools, and districts, particularly with novice educators who are forming themselves as professionals.

Keynote Speaker: Caprice Hollins
About our speaker: Caprice Hollins has deep passion and commitment to equity and social justice. She is co-founder of Cultures Connecting and co-author of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Strategies for Facilitating Conversations on Race. Her background in clinical psychology with an emphasis in multicultural and community psychology equip her well to address the multiple layers of racism, racial bias, and implicit bias that exist in our schools. She has directed the Department of Equity and Race Relations for Seattle Public Schools and is currently an Affiliate Professor of Counseling at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.

Due to the length of the wait list, registration is closed for the Mentor-Coach Conference.
